Abandoned Lab Level Art

This is the (merged) background for the upcoming Abandoned Laboratory level. There’s going to be giant plasma tubes and laser barricades and all kinds of derelict equipment. I know that typically background art is made to be a little bit smaller and simple, repeating every 400 pixels or so, but I can’t seem to get the hang of that. What are all these organic-looking tubes? Are those…brains? You’ll have to play the game to find out!
